God of Creation

The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him. For he laid the earth's foundation on the seas and built it on the ocean depths (Psalm 24:1-2).

Summer months in California are resplendent with travel and ease. Whether its a beach or a city or a lake or a grove of shady pines, there are numerous adventures on the sun-filled horizon. God has blessed us with the potential to get away from it all and have some fun. In His divine goodness, God created the natural world with magnificent power. We're reminded of this fact whenever we enjoy the soft rays of a sunset or the colossal heights of Yosemite. It's all in our backyard, but how easy for us to miss it! We get busy and contemplate much that's often little and miss much because we contemplate the little. Ne places with new faces is often the remedy. Here are a handful of events that you and your family can enjoy this summer:

• The Church of God in Southern California is hosting a Youth Camp June 19 – 22 (https://acogscn.org/event/youth-summer-camp/)
• In Denver, Church of God Ministries has the Convention & General Assembly planned for June 28 – July 1 (https://www.jesusisthesubject.org/convention-2025/)
• July 9 – 12 is the 93rd Annual Interstate Camp Meeting in Hanford (https://interstateassociation.com/camp-meeting)
• Northern California’s Church of God District in putting on a Family Camp July 22 – 26 @ Diamond Arrow Family Camp (https://chogncal.churchcenter.com/calendar/event/180498948)
• Our District is hosting a Nerd Night, August 22 (more info to follow)
